Setting:

This book takes place mainly in New York, and follows the events of “The Land of Stories: An Author’s Odyssey”. The main characters are the Bailey twins, Alex, and Conner. This book is told in third person, and is a fantasy novel.

Plot:

Alex and Conner are finally ready to take on the Literary Army that holds the Land of Stories hostage. They have gathered their own army and are just waiting for the moment to strike. But something completely unforeseen happens. Alex is put under an evil spell by the witches of the Land of Stories, and is now unstoppable. Conner must attack the Army no matter what, even if it means killing his own sister. But now he must deal with the Literary Army, the witches, and Alex. Can Conner’s army match the might of all of these? Or crumble at the hand of the Literary Army?

Recommendation:

This book was a great finale to the Land of Stories series. It had an ultimate battle, which was epic. It had a good conclusive ending for the characters of this world. I also liked the prologue and epilogue, which left me on a cliffhanger. So, if you enjoyed the other Land of Stories, this is one for you.
