Setting:

This book takes place in Australia, and is told in first person. The main characters are a 10-year-old girl named Livy, and a small green creature named Bob. This book takes place around modern times, and the genre of this book is fantasy.

Plot:

Livy is visiting her grandmother, who lives in Australia, for the first time in five years. So, when she walks in her mom’s old room, and opens the door of the closet, Livy is shocked by what greets her. In the closet, is a little green creature, a couple feet tall, whose name is Bob. Bob has been waiting in the closet five years, after being promised by Livy that she would help him find his family. Livy slowly remembers memories of her last visit, and is meets old friends. But when a young boy runs away, will it ultimately lead to Bob finding his true home?

Recommendation:

This is a cute book, but it was not my favorite. There was no adventure, cool bad guys, and all the action I love to have in a book. But, this book was not meant to be an action novel. It was, in my mind, meant to be for young readers. The characters are funny, and make you feel like you are right there with them. So, if you want a quick read, this is one I recommend.
